LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON HILLCROSS AVENUE WAITING RESTRICTIONS THE MERTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 467) ORDER 2019

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Merton, on 11 June 2019, made the above mentioned Order under sections 6, 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.



2. The general effect of the Order will be to continue in force indefinitely the provisions of the Merton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 443) Experimental Traffic Order 2017 so that waiting restrictions will operate at "any time" in the roads or lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice.



3. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 22 June 2019, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan identifying the lengths of roads affected by the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, until the end of a period six weeks from the date on which the Order was made.



4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act, or of any relevant regulations made under that Act have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make an application for this purpose to the High Court.

SCHEDULE

ARUNDEL AVENUE, the south-west side, from its junction with Leamington Avenue, south-eastward for a distance of 10 metres. BEVERLEY ROUNDABOUT, the northernmost and westernmost sides, between Grand Drive and Lower Morden Lane;

CHERRY CLOSE, both sides, from its junction with Cherrywood Lane westward for a distance of 10 metres; CHERRYWOOD LANE, the easternmost arm,

(a) the west side, from a point 10 metres south of its junction with Cherry Close to a point 10 metres north of its junction with Cherry Close;



(b) the east side, from a point 10 metres south of its junction with Leamington Avenue to a point 10 metres north of its junction with Leamington Avenue,

(i) from its junction with Cherrywood Lane, the south-easternmost arm north-westward for a distance of 7 metres;



(ii) from its junction with The Green south-eastward for a distance of 7 metres.



CHURSTON DRIVE,

(a) the north-east side, from its junction with Hillcross Avenue north­westward to a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 3 and 5 Churston Drive;



(b) the south-west side, from its junction with Hillcross Avenue north­westward to a point 6.4 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 3 and 5 Churston Drive.



GREENWOOD CLOSE, the north-west side, from its junction with Cherrywood Lane south-westward for a distance of 7 metres; HILLCROSS AVENUE,

(a) both sides,



(i) between the common boundary of Nos. 358 and 360 Hillcross Avenue and the common boundary of Nos. 423 and 425 Hillcross Avenue;



(ii) between a point 1.1 metres north-east of the south-western building wall of No. 222 Hillcross Avenue and the common boundary of Nos. 228 and 230 Hillcross Avenue;



(iii) between a point 3.8 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 184 and 186 Hillcross Avenue and a point 1.9 metres north-east of south-western building wall of No. 233 Hillcross Avenue;



(b) the north-west side,



(i) between its junction with the Beverley Roundabout and a point 36 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 412 and 414 Hillcross Avenue;



(ii) from a point 0.5 metres north-east of a point opposite the south­western building wall of No. 357 Hillcross Avenue south-westward to a point 2.5 metres south-west of a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 373 and 375 Hillcross Avenue;



(iii) from a point 2 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 112 and 114 Hillcross Avenue south-westward to a point 1.9 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 116 and 118 Hillcross Avenue;



(c) the south-east side,



(i) between its junction with the Beverley Roundabout and a point 8.4 metres south-west of the north-easternmost building wall of The Beverley Public House;



(ii) from a point 0.5 metres north-east of a point opposite the south­western building wall of No. 357 Hillcross Avenue south-westward to the common boundary of Nos. 363 and 365 Hillcross Avenue.



LEAMINGTON AVENUE,

(a) both sides, from its junction with Cherrywood Lane eastward for a distance of 10 metres;



(b) the south side, from its junction with Arundel Avenue, westward for a distance of 10 metres.



NORTHERNHAY WALK,

(a) the south-west side



(b) the north-westernmost cul-de-sac extremity.



SHALDON DRIVE, the north-west side, from a point 10 metres south-west of its junction with Northernhay Walk north-eastward to a point 10 metres north of its junction with Northernhay Walk.
