Fire behind Streatham Common Station

Residents of Furzedown, Tooting were concerned to notice a large plume of black smoke rising from the vicinity of Streatham Common station. Those who followed the smoke to investigate discovered that the fire emanated from garages behind the station. After a large explosion from the garages, police were quick to cordon off the area. Fire engines arrived soon after and the fire was quickly brought under control.
