Racial Discrimination? Anti-social behaviour? Hate Crime?
Residents of SPORLE COURT, on the Winstanley Estate SW11, a 23 stories tower block with 107 homes, approx. 400 people, comprises of a 70% minority ethnic mix population . Wandsworth council publishes to have a 20% / 29% minority ethnicity among its residents Most of those residents were placed there, without options of a home, elsewhere. In effect, ’Take this or nothing’. Homeless people, often disadvantaged by language, lack of confidence, become victims.
Other, low build homes here had / have DOUBLE GLAZING many years ago.
S/Ct. The tallest ,windiest, coldest, high rise here suffers from CONDENSATION / Coldness. A Few residents have had their windows replaced. Others are told to open their windows, letting in the cold and dissipating any heating.
No wonder people living here, in LATCHMERE WARD, WANDSWORTH, have: - 1) The shortest Life Span. 2) The lowest birth weight of babies born in Wandsworth. 3) The highest incidence of, ‘Domestic Violence and Abuse’. ABOVE UK AVERAGE! Unhappy, frustrated, disadvantaged people! ‘You always hurt the one you love’ We NEED Double Glazing; External Cladding and Compensatory replacement for the sale – at Profit to the council - (Funding the Lowest Council Tax in the UK) of ALL our INBUILT Community facilities for this ‘High Density’ living. Wandsworth Councillors have given themselves a, comfortable, Members Room to meet, socialise, be fed and watered. All at residents expense. WE have NOTHING !
Except the ADVERSE CONSEQUENCES of their SelfcongratulaTORY Policies!
