We can keep singing at Vera's

How very pleased we were to learn that common sense has at last prevailed in the matter of the Ember Centre, known to us affectionately as Vera’s.

Singing there since the early eighties, we have made so many friends, and we were indeed shocked at the proposed move.

It was at the Ember Centre that we The Moles, tried out new programmes and ideas. If they liked it, then we were sure others would also.

Surely it is not asking too much to ask that at least once a week, a good luncheon is provided with some entertainment for those who have made their contribution to the community.

It must never be allowed to fail.

We looked forward to seeing you all again later in the year and send our love.
