We were alarmed to hear of the problems that people are having with the new parking regime at Kingston Hospital.

There has been little effort to make the transition to the new system as seamless and painless for car park users as possible, which has resulted in blue badge users being fined up to £100 because of completely inadequate signage advertising the changes.

We will be addressing this as a matter of urgency at the meeting of the health overview and scrutiny panel on January 29.

We urge residents who are concerned to attend.
