I am astounded to read the letters in the paper fighting against the idea of having to change the way we have our rubbish collected.
Some 100 years ago, men and women were making huge sacrifices and did so with humility and grace, even good humour.
These days, we seem to fly into a panic over the smallest changes.
I think those people whose lives really were turned upside down would be ashamed by the way some people are reacting to this “upheaval”.
Some people really do not know they are born.
