Letter to the Editor: Loss of petrol garage would be a blow
The New Malden Shell garage would be a loss.
I almost always buy my petrol there and without it will have to go to Murco, in Kingston Road, which is small and crowded, or to Shannon Corner, which is not on my route.
The flats and a small Sainsbury’s?
Positive for the people who will live there, but negative from the point of view of more cars added to the slow crawl though New Malden and needing parking spaces.
Had we known about this earlier, there would have been an outcry in favour of a small supermarket.
