Forget “mum about town”, as it’s been more like “mum all over the place” this week.

I’m not sure what I’ve done, where I’ve been or how anything has been achieved, but let it be said, I almost forgot about writing this column for the first time this year.

To those that know me well, I’m used to being very methodical and organised in my approach to everyday life, especially now I have two children, but the stress levels over the last seven days have nearly hit nine on the Richter scale.

It’s because I’ve felt more tired than I usually do, probably due to the fact my toddler son (who has a skillset so advanced, he’d be able to escape Alcatraz let alone his own cot), is finding his way into our bed at 5.30am and talks non-stop.

It could also be because I’ve upped my Great North Run training and am running all the way around Richmond Park three times a week.

Combine both of those with the knowledge I’m also chasing two children around the house at the moment, as my daughter is up on her feet.

Michael keeps telling me there’s no point getting flustered and it’s all about tackling one thing at a time.

I know he’s right, but I just want to get everything sorted.

It hasn’t been all bad. I filmed at an escargot farm this week and had to eat four snails for filming purposes.

I was at the Hampton Court Flower Show for The One Show on Monday, which was wonderful; and then as a family we were strawberry picking at Garson’s Farm, which was brilliant fun.

So as I write this I’m starting to feel like myself again, especially as I remember devouring the pavlova I made with the strawberries we picked. Yummy.
