Charities make millions of pounds per year campaigning for they believe in and trying to fight for a better cause. This could include beating cancer, helping homeless people find shelter or even trying to get clean water to children in Africa.

Yet people can view charity shops as places of which contain cheap goods nobody wants, however that was not the case when I interviewed one of the volunteers who work at the shop. she said "you never know what you can find. Just yesterday, when sorting through donations, I found a brand-new dress from H and M. As this is a charity shop we can sell it for a cheaper price than retailers, and so, that's a bargain for the public."

Charity do not just save people money, it is also reusing unwanted goods to save fabrics and textiles. This will ensure that when fabrics have had a full use, we can make new clothing with it.

Charity shops are very popular in many high streets such as: Teddington, Twickenham, Whitton and Kingston and they seem to make lots of money doing this for a good cause. However, some Charities pay some employees and the general public view this as wrong because that means you are taking away from the cause people are trying to fight for.

Also, many charities take a small proportion of money for advertisements and setting up small events to get people interested in trying to raise money for their cause. However, some people also view this as wrong while others think it is money well spent.

So, overall charities are a great thing for everyone. Let's face it you may not like everything in the shop or you might not find anything at all. Even though in some big brands and retailers this could also be an issue. But, nevertheless don't stop checking your local charity shop continuously, because otherwise you may miss out on a bargain, that you may love.
