4 men who have been in custody for 6 months have finally been charged over ATM explosions and robbery. A small gang of 4 men from London were sentenced for stealing and threatening the lives of the general public with ATM explosions. The gang was made up of Andrew Bransome, Martyn Williamson, Louis Golding and Malcolm Jarvis. All locals on london.
These 4 robbers created a new way of braking into banks and stealing koney from them. What the gang did was fill the ATM’s with various gases, which were pumped into the ATMs through the cash dispensing slot and ignited using petrol which caused an explosion. After the explosion they would stral money from inside the ATM and tried to get away as quickly as possible.All the explosions coud have caused physical damage to the passing pedestrians. The amount that was looted was £150,000 and the damaged that was caused was worth over £50,000 The gang had to have planned every attack to make sure that were not cauht. They also needed some type of knowledge on what gasses react to create explosions and how to carry chemicals safely.
The gang, who had been under surveillance and police llok out for several months, were arrested on May 6 last year on thr same day. Two of the members were coming back from a ATM that they tried to break into,the other two were arrested in their homes.
The attacks had been hppening for 2 years. Thy began in march of 2014 and eneded in may 2016 when the members were caught.combinned all four burgulars got 42 years of prison time as a group.
