On Saturday 18th of Februrary a group of croydon high school girls, came in to start their process for DOFE bronze, this enables us to do numerous differnet skills that we wouldnt do in the classroom, for example, read an ordance survey map, learn how to cook using a stove and gas meter and of course how to put up a tent.

This practical day really prepared us for the expeditions to come and how to use tema building skills to your advantage, it also enables the pupils to think outside the box and prepare themselves for differnt senarios in the future.

I would just like to leave you with this quote

"I believe the DofE ethos allows young people to develop as people, in that it helps them discover their talents and congratulates their strengths, as well as developing personal areas of need."
