Exercise is said to be the most important way to keep your body healthy. As well as having a varied and balanced diet, exercise is one of the crucial things to keep yourself healthy.
Exercised benefits our bodies in many different ways. It not only helps reduce the risk of many diseases (such as coronary heart disease and other health problems e.g. stroke, some types of cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure), but exercise is a great way to manage your weight, reduce the risk of obesity, make your bones stronger and improve muscular strength and improve heart health.
In fact, studies from the NHS show that exercise can reduce “type 2 diabetes and cancer by up to 50%”, which is more beneficial than it may seem.
For some of us it may be hard to find huge amounts of time to dedicate to exercising since we are busy most of the time, however there are many forms of exercise that are easy to incorporate into our daily lives.
Walking, cycling, taking the stairs whenever you can instead of the lift, and even jogging for a short period of time can easily make a difference to your health.
The minimum amount of exercise you should make sure you do is at least 60 minutes per week and anything that causes your heart rate to increase and eventually increases your body temperature counts as exercise and will help you to work towards having a healthier body.
