Sarah, the Duchess of York took her daughters to Romania and Turkey with an undercover reporting team to investigate the conditions in state-run orphanages, it has been revealed.
Princess Beatrice and Eugenie accompanied their mother on the trip with reporters from ITN's Tonight programme.
The Duchess, who works with a number of children's charities, wanted to see for herself whether conditions were improving for orphans and disabled children in Romania following a similar investigation by the team three years ago.
For the programme, to be screened on ITV1 on November 6 at 9pm, the Duchess and Eugenie travelled to Turkey to help investigate the treatment of mentally and physically disabled children in state institutions.
The Duchess then joined the reporting team as they went undercover in one of the country's worst children's homes.
In the second half of the report the Duchess is joined by her elder daughter Beatrice in Romania.
The Duchess said: "Everybody always rushes to what the front page says, or what's sexy, or the glamorous Hollywood party where you're raising money for paediatric aids, which is fantastic and a great job, but there is still a child in Romania saying 'help me',"
