Westside LTC continued their impressive start to the new Aegon National League season with their men's and ladies first teams recording a second double success.
The men followed up their opening 7-6 away victory over Park Langley with a convincing 10-2 home win over V-Tennis to go top of South East South Division - one section below the top National Tier.
Westside women, who beat Wimbledon 10-2 in their opening fixture, were 8-4 away winners over St George's Hill at Weybridge.
Despite clear wins in both their opening fixtures they are second to neighbours Wilton LTC at the same level, edged out on games difference.
Rob Blythe, James Silvester and Gary Thomson took the top three singles for the Westside men, who made three changes from the side which won their first match.
Blythe then partnered Jesse Koti and Thomson paired with Slvester to win both doubles rubbers.
Results (Westside names first): Singles - Rob Blythe bt Alexandre Spoerri 4-6, 6-2, 7-5; James Silvester bt Leifur Sigurdarson 6-1, 6-3; Gary Thomson bt Alexander Brown 6-4, 6-4; Jesse Koti lost to Gregor Moze 2-6, 1-6. Doubles - Blythe and Koti bt Spoerri and Sigurdarson 6-1, 7-5; Silvester and Thomson bt Brown and Moze 6-2, 6-3.
Olivia Fery and club head coach Alison Taylor won for the ladies, who were also forced to make two changes, as the singles ended all square.
But Westside clinched victory by winning both doubles with the Fery and Kim Roberts pairing and Taylor and Alex Joy both coming through in straight sets.
Results (Wimbledon names first): Singles - Kim Robertrs lost to Katherine Laidler 3-6, 3-6; Olivia Fery bt Carol North 6-0, 6-3; Alison Taylor bt Liz Vlotman 6-3, 6-0; Alex Joy lost to Gill Thompson 6-4, 2-6, 4-6. Doubles - Fery and Roberts bt Laidler and Thompson 6-0, 6-4; Taylor and Joy bt North and Vlotman 7-5, 7-5.
