A minute’s silence was held before the game in memory of Andy Riches, one of Reeds Weybridge’s long-time members, who died in a car accident in South Africa.
When the action got under way, Reeds struggled to get possession and, when the visitors ran hard and straight, the hosts’ defence was found wanting.
Reeds were 10 points adrift after 10 minutes, but the pace of Oliver Cheetham saw Reeds get their only first-half try, with Streatham running in a third.
Streatham added a fourth after the restart before Reeds replied thanks to a mazy run from Matt Cross, who outpaced the defenders in a race for the line.
In the end, Streatham ran in two more tries to clinch a comfortable victory.
Reeds host Old Whitgiftians this Saturday.
