Harlequins director of rugby Conor O’Shea has revealed George Lowe was pulled out of Sunday’s defeat at Wasps as a precaution.
The Kingston-born 25-year-old was originally selected in the starting line-up, but was replaced by Tom Casson at the last minute after suffering from dizzy spells.
Lowe missed most of last season due to a serious neck injury and O’Shea was not in the mood to risk the player’s health.
“George was suffering from some dizzy spells during the training session after we had announced the team,” said the Stoop chief, who expects the centre to be fit for Saturday’s crunch visit of Exeter Chiefs.
“With all the problems he has had, we could not take any chances. We do not think it is serious, but we will see how he shapes up for next week.”
