London Scottish have recalled skipper Mark Bright, hooker Adam Kwasnicki and experienced wing duo Miles Mantella and Matt Williams for Saturday’s festive clash against Worcester Warriors.

Championship top try scorer Bright comes back into the starting XV following his short stint with the England 7s squad, which competed in last weekend’s IRB World Series tournament in South Africa.

Prop Max Maidment, who starred for a Championship XV which defeated Canada in November, also earns a recall as does fellow prop James Hallam, flanker Chris Walker and Harlequins dual-registered centre Harry Sloan.

Scottish will be looking to preserve their unbeaten record against a Warriors side which has not lost since the opening day of the season.

Director of rugby Mike Friday said: “The squad has been building towards this for a few weeks now and it will be an exciting and huge challenge for the boys who will be testing themselves against what I believe to be the form team in the Championship.

“Worcester are an immensely talented side and incredibly physical.

“They have a back division who can play, an array of international players in the squad and a fantastic coaching team.

“It’s a big ask for the boys to get the victory, but that’s exactly what they intend to do and they have the belief and talent to pull off a win.”

He added: “It should be a great occasion and terrific atmosphere just before Christmas.”

The game kicks-off at the Athletic Ground at 3pm.
