Canadian international lock Tyler Hotson says the London Scottish squad are focused on continual improvement.
A late Miles Mantella try secured a 143-9 win at Doncaster Knights last Friday – the Exiles’s first win on the road this season.
Hotson scored a try in last month’s win over high-flying Bedford Blues and says the squad is out to stretch its winning start to 2013 in the Championship.
“We’re looking to build some consistency and start putting regular wins together,” he said.
“There’s still a lot of improvement to come and we’re still working extremely hard in training.
“We’re still only approaching the season one game at a time – we’re not getting too far ahead of ourselves.
“We’d like to finish as high as we can in the table this year and keep improving on a weekly basis.”
Director of rugby Simon Amor’s men host Nottingham at the Athletic Ground on Saturday and Hotson reckoned winning the battle up front would be the key to success.
“Nottingham are a quality side and they’ve got a very good set piece,” he said.
“They’re effective in every area of the field so, from our side of things, we’ll have to take every opportunity.
“We’ll have to be absolutely spot on. We can’t afford any lapses. They’re the second best team in the league so we’ll need our absolute best performance.”
