Esher are heading for a sell-out when Churchill Cup international rugby comes to Molesey Road next Wednesday.
The Championship club have already passed the 1,000 ticket mark with still six days before the double header involving Tonga v USA and Russia v Canada.
Now Esher officials hope the attendance will match the record 2,300 crowd achieved when Esher faced East Midlands giants Northampton three years ago.
Club Marketing Manager Nicki Dent said: “Ticket sales are going very well. There’s still a week to go and half the tickets have gone already with sales really picking up in the last few days.
“We have already outsold the advance sales for the Worcester game, which was our biggest gate last season.
“It indicates we could be heading for a sell-out, for the first time since the Northampton Saints game.
“It’s fantastic news and there should be a great atmosphere at the ground.”
The United States take on Tonga in the Molesey Road opener at 5.30pm with Canada facing Russia in the second game at 8pm.
The Churchill Cup kicks off at Franklin’s Garden on Saturday with Canada facing Italy A and England Saxons meeting the United States.
