Birthday boy Tom seeks best finish

New Malden's Tom Onslow-Cole hopes his VX Racing Vauxhall Vectra can give him a birthday present in rounds 10, 11 and 12 of the British Touring Car Championships at Thruxton on Sunday.

Onslow-Cole, who turns 21 on Friday, landed three podium finishes last time out at Donington Park, but at has finished no better than seventh in Hampshire in previous visits with the BTCC.

Onslow-Cole said: "I had a fantastic weekend at Donington and will still be fired-up when we arrive at Thruxton.

"I am sure I can improve on previous results there.

"The Vectra VXR is a very good car and following my first-ever BTCC pole position and my three podium finishes, I am very confident I can be up there again."
