Customs & Excise officials are at Croydon Athletic's KT Stadium this afternoon.
The officials are looking through the club's books after owner Mazhar Majeed was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud bookmakers.
He has been released on police bail but there are fears the club could lose players and management before Saturday's home match against Concord Rangers with confusion reigning on whether or not they will be paid.
