AFC Wimbledon will go from being the hunter to the hunted when they travel to Corinthian Casuals in the next round of their London Senior Cup defence.

Casuals pulled off their own giant-killing on Monday when Jamie Byatt struck his 102nd goal for the club to add to one from Bamoussa Cisse in a 2-0 cup triumph at Conference South Bromley.

At the same time, the Dons were crashing out of the FA Cup third round in losing 2-1 at home to former Champions League winners Liverpool.

Byatt struck a hat-trick to pass the 100 goal milestone in a 4-0 win at Horsham on December 27, but had to wait until this week to add to his tally after games with Walton Casuals and Hythe Town were postponed.

The wins have eased concerns at King George’s Field and boss Matt Howard wants more at Guernsey this week.

“Looking on current form, we’re almost certainties to get relegated,” he said.

“The last thirteen games, we’d won just two and conceded 41 goals. We’ve only conceded 48 all season.

“We can’t just rest. We need to put a run together now.”
