London Scottish hooker Adam Kwasnicki hopes his side can translate their fine league form into cup success in the British & Irish Cup, writes Andy Weston.
The Scots ran in 10 tries during last Sunday’s 64-16 home thrashing of Plymouth Albion which moved them joint second with Worcester Warriors after five rounds of the Championship campaign.
Attention for the next few weeks turns to cup competition and the Scots have been drawn in Pool One of this year’s B&I Cup alongside Pontypridd, Bristol Rugby and Connacht.
They face a stern test at Sardis Road against Welsh Premiership Champions Pontypridd on Saturday, both sides having traded wins in last season’s pool stages.
Kwasnicki said: “We had Pontypridd twice last year and both games were extremely physical encounters.
“They are a talented team and Wales is always a tough place to go and play. The atmosphere is always fantastic and the fans are really passionate.
“We have enjoyed a good start to the season and take huge confidence from the win over Plymouth in front of the TV cameras.
“Saturday will be a big test for the squad, but we are really keen to pick up another win and do well in the cup this season.”
