Simpson: Terrors fear no one, not even a Football League side
Phil Simpson would be confident of victory this Saturday even if a Football League side was visiting Imperial Fields instead of Ryman Division One South basement boys Three Bridges.
The Terrors matched league leaders Maidstone United for 55 minutes last weekend before the Rocks scored three goals in 10 minutes, with Tooting's Nathan Koo-Boothe sent off for disputing the second, to win 3-0 and send Simpson to his first defeat as interim manager.
But the performance was enough to keep Simpson happy and, such is his confidence, he would welcome anyone to Tooting this weekend in the belief he could mastermind a result.
"The whole squad is high on confidence and that confidence will begin to express itself on the pitch," he said.
"We are not fearing anybody. It could be Maidstone, it could be Three Bridges, it could be a League side, it doesn't matter.
"I am a great believer in the mechanics of football. What you do well you repeat and you do again and again and again.
"You only change it if you come up against a team that nullifies what you are doing.
"If it's not broken you don't fix it."
