Tommy Williams promised his side would get their home form right after Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Harrow Borough and they duly delivered 48 hours later.

Goals from Pelayo Pico Gomez, Matt Drage and Luke Pigden saw Ks come from a goal down – an own goal from Aaron Goode – to beat Met Police 3-1 at Kingsmeadow on Monday.

Williams issued an apology to fans after Saturday’s dismal display and warned his men a reaction was required against the Blues.

Ks, now only six points off the Ryman Premier League’s top five, had not won a game at home since August and skipper Alan Inns admitted the squad needed to build on the victory or risk letting the club down come the end of the campaign.

“We really do need to kick on. We are so much better than the league position we are in,” he said.

“We’re here to be successful. Ks are a big club and should in the Conference South.

“The infrastructure is here to go to the next level.

“If we are not in the mix at the end of the season, then we have let the club down.”

Ks are without a league game until Enfield Town visit on November 22.
