Nevermind Nottingham Forest's history, their big club status and fanatical support, it is boss Stuart Pearce and their nine-game winless streak that worries Brentford manager Mark Warburton the most.

The Griffin Park chief takes his Bees to the City Ground on Wednesday on the back of a 2-1 triumph over Derby County on Saturday that ended his team's own three-game winless run.

By contrast, Forest, under legendary former England defender Pearce, go into the contest having not won a match since beating Fulham 5-3 in the Championship on September 17.

And Warburton is well aware of what will face his men at the home of the two-time European Cup winners.

"We are very repsetcful of the size of club they are and the size and quality of squad they have avaialble to them," he said this week.

"But they have had a rough time of late. We have to go there full of confidence and self belief and impose ourselves on the game.

"They are a big club with a fantastic stadium, fantastic support and a fantastic history, but we are not playing history.

"They have a very experienced and passionate manager. We all know what he was like as a player.

"We are well aware that his team will be prepared to deliver a 100 per cent performance in front of an expectant crowd and that will be a huge test for us."

Midfielder Stuart Dallas climbed off the bench to strike an injury-time winner in Saturday's thrilling triumph after Andre Gray's early second half strike had levelled Chris Martin's first half opener for the Rams.

But it was the return to the substitutes bench of fans favourite Sam Saunders that gave Warburton even more to smile about.

"Sam is full of enthusiasm. He loves playing and training, which is infectious. In that respect, to have him around is a huge boost for us," added the manager.

"It has been a long and arduous road back to fitness for him.

"He is looking great in training. He wanted that place on the bench and likewise he wants to play again on Wednesday. It is great to have him back."
