Dons and Brentford youngsters offered free entry to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash
Korea Foods, the New Malden-based official distributor of Nongshim in the UK, has links with both the Dons and Brentford and is offering the initiative for young fans.
The match at Griffin Park kicks off at 7pm to attract the next generation of football fans and Korea Foods will pay for free entry for all Wimbledon fans under the age of 18, and the first 250 junior Brentford supporters to queue at the New Road turnstiles.
This match pitches two teams only eight miles apart into competitive action for the first time and the winners will take the first steps on a road that could lead to a final at Wembley.
Korea Foods have developed an excellent relationship with both clubs, most recently with Nongshim, Korea’s number one noodle manufacturer, sponsoring a stand at Wimbledon.
Ivor Heller, commercial director at AFC Wimbledon, said “I would like to thank Korea Foods and in particular Dan Suh in providing this opportunity to our junior fans.
"This is a great chance for any of our younger fans to watch a live game free of charge.
"I would encourage as many supporters as possible to take advantage of this generous offer and come along to what should be a fantastic game of football.”
Mark Devlin, Chief Executive at Brentford FC, said “We would like to thank Dan and Korea Foods for their innovative idea and involvement in this fixture.
"The club is keen to encourage young fans to come to all fixtures and we brought our kick-off time forward for this match in the hope more families would attend.”
AFC Wimbledon fans will be housed in the Brook Road stand at Griffin Park – visiting supporters should turn up at the turnstiles and those under the age of 18 will be allowed in for free. There are 250 free tickets for Brentford supporters under the age of 18 in The Bill Axbey Stand, on the New Road side of the ground. Junior Brentford fans will be given free entry if they turn up to the New Road turnstiles and are one of the first 250 to pass through.
