Boss Neal Ardley will allow players to leave the Cherry Red Records stadium in the January transfer window if they are unhappy with their lot.

While insisting every player is key to his League Two promotion plans, and wanting to add two players to his squad, Ardley admitted he will not give players false hope of playing time.

He said: “I am not planning on any departures, but if players are unhappy with their playing time then that is a different kettle of fish.

“I will always be honest and look after the boys, and if they are really not happy, they know they can come and see me and discuss it, but at the moment they are all a major part of my plans.”

Ardley added: “I’d like to add two more players. We’re not close to getting anything done at the moment, so nothing is likely to happen in the next week or two.

“We’d have to find players better than what we’ve got, but ultimately we felt we did really well in the summer with our recruitment.”
