After the weekend’s League Two disappointment, the Dons manager Neal Ardley reckons Tuesday night’s Capital One Cup exit at Cardiff City has restored belief.
A Craig Noone free-kick was the difference between the two sides in a 1-0 win for the Welsh Championship outfit.
The Dons had chances in the second half, including a Lyle Taylor effort that hit the woodwork.
Ardley told Dons Player: “It was not to be, but I told the boys afterwards to stick with it and keep believing in each other.
“When we get on a run I think we will be very hard to beat.”
He added: “I am disappointed because I hate losing. We lost the first game and I thought we needed to have a good shape about us today. I thought we did that.
“As the game wore on we got better and better.”
