The streets of Wimbledon will be deserted tonight when the Dons host Premier League giants Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup.

Ever since the draw was announced last month, the spotlight has fallen on AFC Wimbledon, and tickets for the game at the Cherry Red Record stadium were sold out within hours.

However, if you failed to get the golden ticket, there is no need to worry as the BBC will be broadcasting the match live to the nation - the show starts at 7.30pm, and kick-off is 7.55pm.

Moreover, with Liverpool boasting superstars such as former England captain Steven Gerrard, Raheem Sterling and Adam Lallana - the match is likely to be watched by millions of football fans around the world.

The chasm between the sides is vast making it a classic David v Goliath affair.

Dons are 72 places below Liverpool in the league pyramid, and the Reds side that drew with Leicester on New Year’s Day cost £104.1 million compared with the Dons side that beat Exeter City costing less than £34,000.

The match also recreates the FA Cup final between the sides in 1988, where a Lawrie Sanchez goal sealed a famous Dons win.

A number of the faces from the Crazy Gang will be guests of honour at the game tonight – but what are the chances of a repeat 1-0 win?

Send us your photos of you and your family to tim.ashton@london.newsquest.co.uk enjoying the game tonight and we'll publish the best ones.
