AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley is prepared for problems when Exeter City visit the CRRS this weekend.
His wariness comes despite last season’s 4-1 home win over the Grecians, which featured Matt Tubbs’ last goal in a Dons shirt.
Ardley said: “They are a very free-flowing team, who pass it from the back.
“Paul Tisdale [Exeter manager] has his style, and when they stick to it they have a lot of tactically good players.
“They are not a huge side, but they have always caused us problems – even when we beat them at home in the past, they have had several chances to alter the game, and not taken them.
Football: AFC Wimbledon boss lays it on the line to work-shy newbies
“There is no game you go into thinking ‘we should win this one’, you go in thinking ‘if we get these parts right, we give ourselves a greater chance’.”
Dannie Bulman (hamstring) is only 50-50, while Tom Elliott (groin) and Lyle Taylor (ankle) are hoping to return to training by the end of the week.
