AFC Wimbledon welcome League Two leaders Bury to the CRRS this afternoon with boss Neal Ardley hoping they can maintain the momentum of a momentous week.

He also called on the Dons fans to treat the conquerors of franchise club MK Dons as legends and play their part in propelling the side up the League Two table.

He said: “Can the fans turn up? Can we have a full house? Can we have the place bouncing? Can we cheer everything the players do and make it a great week?

“I’d like to think the fans will give the players a great reception and that there will be very little negativity.

“Bury are one of the best teams with one of the best budgets, and these are the games we normally relish.”

He added: “If the fans play their part, cheer everything we do and treat the players like legends, then I am confident they’ll get a performance on the back of it.”

Ardley has been boosted by the return from injury of Andy Frampton, who came through 90 minutes at stadium:MK without ill effect.

Bury have lost just once in the past 10 League Two games, boast the second highest number of goals and the joint second most miserly defence.

Last season, Dons went down 1-0 at home to Bury, and claimed a point from a 1-1 draw at Gigg Lane, where Luke Moore hit his penultimate goal in the blue and yellow.
