Richmond-born Nick Gubbins has targeted silverware with Middlesex after penning a dream three-year contract for the club.

The 20-year-old, who also plays for Middlesex County League Premier Division champions Teddington, made his county championship break through as Middlesex struggled last term – scoring three half centuries in four games, including a top score of 95 against Somerset at Uxbridge.

The former Kings House School student also bagged a maiden first team 100 against Oxford University and will become a full-time cricketer when he finishes at Leeds University next summer.

“It has always my dream to represent Middlesex in the long term,” he said.

“I look forward to building on the opportunities I received this summer and to help the club win some silverware in the near future.”
