Last bowl defeat for Mid-Surrey

Mid-Surrey were pipped by one shot against Ember BC on the final bowl of Sunday’s Bowls England National Club Two Fours Competition on Sunday.

Graham Greenwood, Nigel Goringe, Gareth Morgan and Timmy Orr won their rink by five shots, but Mick Harris, John Donovan, Brian Lawton and Des Hunter lost by six.

On Sunday afternoon, Mid-Surrey took just one point from a 56-40 Richmond, Barnes & District League defeat at Parsons Green BC.

Dennis Beckett, Joan Orr, Peter Boddy and Brian Lawton won their rink 16-13.
