Former Bees full-back Ryan Dickson made a fleeting return to the region this week as new club Southampton were held 1-1 at Ryman League Premier Division side Sutton United.
The 23-year-old was in action at Gander Green Lane - where former boss Andy Scott started his career - and played only 20 minutes for Brentford's League One rivals before being substituted with what appeared to be a groin problem.
Dickson, who played 80 minutes for the Saintes in a 1-0 win at Barnet days later, switched to the St Mary’s Stadium earlier this summer after being a leading light at Griffin Park over the past three seasons.
