Tadworth AC’s Paul O’Callaghan put in his best ever time for the London marathon on Sunday, clocking two hours 35 minutes 43 seconds for 154th place.
Team-mate David Freeman was 245th in 2.38:21, placing 17th in the men’s over-45 class.
Meanwhile, Alan Strachan knocked two minutes off last year’s time to finish 591st in 2.47:08 and Dave Williamson, running his second marathon in two weeks, was 696th in 2.49:04.
Ultra-marathon runner John Melbourne also beat three hours, coming home 1,609th in 2.58:35.
Veteran Peter Rand was 77th man over-60 in 3.35:38, and the team was completed by Roland Hogg in 4.03:07.
Epsom & Ewell Harriers’ Ollie Garrod pipped Paula Radcliffe in her final marathon, clocking 2.36:55.
He was joined by club-mates James Carter (3.07:21) and Chris Glencross (3.13:22).
Barnaby Hopson of Epsom Oddballs clocked 2.59:37, with clubmate Paul Ralton (3.01.03) not far behind.
