England might have fallen seven points short of lifting the Six Nations championship crown on Saturday, but captain Chris Robshaw is convinced a repeat performance from the Twickenham crowd could inspire his men to claiming something better later this year – the World Cup.
The Harlequins flanker was left devastated as his side beat France 55-35 at Twickenham, but saw Ireland crowned champions on points difference.
“I think it was the loudest I have ever heard Twickenham – the place was rocking and that is what we want,” he said after England scored a fifth successive victory at rugby HQ.
“We are playing very well at home and have built a lot of momentum now and if you look at where our World Cup games are, they are back here.”
