Neal Ardley would not confirm whether Adebayo Akinfenwa will be released of spot-kick duties after a second successive failure at Cambridge United.
When the Beast missed in the 2-0 win over Newport County earlier this month, boss Ardley said: “I wouldn’t have a pop at Adebayo – he’s too big.”
But after the goalless draw at Cambridge United, Ardley was far more serious.

He said: “Now is not the time to talk about Bayo’s penalty miss, he’s annoyed with himself.
“I’d rather focus on the fact he was brilliant – I cannot remember him doing too much wrong, “He won all his headers, he held the ball up, he linked play, he was a constant threat.
“I’d rather focus on the fact I have one of the best strikers in the league.”
