Kingstonian will host Horsham in the FA Cup first qualifying round, but angry Corinthian Casuals boss Matt Howard felt it could have been his men lining up at Kingsmeadow instead.
Casuals crashed 1-0 in West Sussex on Saturday to a hotly contested injury time penalty awarded for a Danny Dudley challenge that saw him sent off.
“I’m gutted if I’m honest, absolutely gutted,” said Howard.
“We can’t blame the referee for not taking our chances when we created them, but the penalty decision was absolutely appaling.
“He hasn’t stopped us winning the game, but he certainly affected us losing it.
"We had a lot of chances, we should have scored when we were on top, but we didn’t and as I said, we can’t blame the referee for that.
"We’ve got to bounce back.
“We’re never going to win the FA Cup, but to go out like this, I feel for the lads because they didn’t deserve that.”
Casuals travel to Redhill on Saturday.
