Harley Norman was the king of the long jump for Epsom & Ewell Harriers at the Surrey Indoor Championships last weekend.

The youngster won gold in the U13 event at the Sutton Arena, jumping a new county best distance of 4.62m, 20cm further than his nearest rival from Herne Hill Harriers.

In a tough day of competition for the Harriers, another stand-out performance saw Iwan Fesnoux take second place in the U17s 60m.

Fesnoux ran a perfect competition improving from 7.29secs in the heats, to 7.22secsin the semi-finals and 7.20secs in the final – 0.15 of a second behind the winner.

Jordyn Robinson came second in the shot-put U20s women’s competition throwing 8.72m, and Diana Norman also claimed second place in the senior version of the same event, distancing 10.42m.
