Striker Ryan Moss has warned his former employers they will get a taste of him at his best this Christmas.

The 27-year-old scored the only goal of the game as Kingstonian beat Enfield Town 1-0 to cement third place in the Ryman Premier League, and keep pace with the promotion pace setters.

It means he and strike partner Andre McCollin now have 29 league and cup goals between them.

Moss spent the past four months of last season at Hampton & Richmond Borough, before being persuaded to switch to Kingsmeadow in the summer by defender Sam Page.

Ks visit the Beveree on Boxing Day having beaten the Beavers 1-0 at home in August thanks to Moss’ lone header.

And the senior anatomical pathology technician is aiming to be at his clinical best when he returns to his old stomping ground and is out to show the Station Road outfit what they are now missing.

“I had such a bad season by my standards last season,” said Moss, who now has 14 goals to his name this term.

“I’d moved to Havant & Waterlooville at the start of the season and went from regularly playing 90 minutes of football, to not really playing a game.

“I wasn’t really enjoying it. A job came up in London so I moved and was going to take a break from the game until Mark Harper persuaded me to play.

“I think I got nine goals, which wasn’t too bad, but I found it difficult, because I had not played much earlier in the season, so I found it difficult to find my sharpness.

“About two weeks after I signed, the budget was pulled from under Mark’s feet because it did not look like we could make the play-offs.

“It happens a lot in non-League football and you just end up seeing the season out.

“It is a great club, the people are great and I liked the manager, but the money we had been promised was cut and that affects everything.

“Players left and the atmosphere turned a bit sour. It was difficult circumstances.

“I’m absolutely loving it at Ks now. I’ve got 14 goals already and want more.”
