"Rusty" Robson gets back into the flow of tennis with US Open first round victory

Laura Robson admitted to feeling "rusty" ahead of her first round triumph at the US Open on Monday.
The 19-year-old, seeded 30th for the Grand Slam beat Spain's Lourdes Dominguez Lino 7-5 6-0 and will play Caroline Garcia in round two after the Frenchwoman beat American Shelby Rogers 6-3 6-2.
Since Wimbledon, Robson has played just two matches because of a wrist injury but she was pleased with her showing at Flushing Meadows.
She said: "I always knew going into the match that I'd be a little bit rusty because I haven't played in a few weeks.
"Practice points are very different to playing in the first round of a Slam. I just had to stay focused out there and confident in my game plan.
"I was pleased how I played, especially in the second set, I really felt like I got a rhythm in the rallies, played very patiently, but then took my chance when the opportunity arose."
She added: "The wrist is OK. It's going to be taped for the next match, but nothing's changed."
