Surbiton Farmers’ Market has achieved yet another accolade by reaching the final for Best Food Retailer in the Food & Drink Awards 2017.

The community market has again been shortlisted for these annual awards for food retailers across south west London and north Surrey, which are organised by Time & Leisure magazine. The market took the top prize in this category in 2012 and 2014 and was commended in 2015 and 2016.

In 2013, Surbiton Farmers’ Market won the prestigious national award, FARMA Farmers' Market of the Year.

Volunteers who run the monthly market – held in Maple Road on the third Saturday of the month – will attend the Food & Drink Awards prize-giving ceremony at the Hurlingham Club in Fulham in September.

Maple Road restaurants The French Table and No 97 are also finalists this year, in the Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year category.

Surbiton Farmers’ Market is a Community Interest Company and all surplus proceeds from stall fees and fundraising activities are donated to local charities and causes. The next market takes place on Saturday August 19 from 9am to 1pm.
