Rosebery School in Epsom has benefited from the generosity of Asda Burgh Heath who visited the school recently to present the head teacher Ros Allen with a cheque for £200.
Rosebery School PSA approached Asda to ask if they could be considered as one of the charities to raise vital funds from the retailer’s Green Token Scheme. Shoppers in the Burgh Heath store between January and March were given a green token to use to vote for one of the three charities that were eligible for funds during that time.
Ros Allen was presented with the cheque by Asda Community Champion Lacey O’Neill. Ms Allen said: “We are delighted to receive money from Asda and very grateful to them and their shoppers who voted for Rosebery. The money will be used to purchase new books for our school library. In these times of significantly reduced funding we are very grateful to our PSA who work so hard to raise funds for us.”
