Nicole Turner, aged 13 competed against the best in Europe in Cluj Napoca in Romania this weekend in the Karate European championships. There were over 1800 competitors from 26 European countries. She saw off strong competition to win the gold for the England team.
A pupil of Coombe Girls school in New Malden, Nicole has been training up to three hours a day for this event and has set her sights on competing at the Olympics.
