The Leader of Kingston Labour Group Linsey Cottington met with the Chair of London's Fire Authority Fiona Twycross earlier this week to discuss the the proposed loss of the second fire engine at Kingston Fire Station.
Linsey Cottington said: "We are very concerned about the threat of the loss of our second fire engine. We are working with local firefighters and local residents to protect front line services in Kingston. Five of the sixteen wards in Kingston will have worse response times to emergency call outs if this fire engine is removed. Those wards are Norbiton, St Marks, Grove, Canbury and Tudor. This is unacceptable."
