16 year old Pippa Earley competed in the indoor Surrey championships at the week end and broke the U17 women's 60 metre hurdles British record.
This had stood since 1998 by Helen Worsey. She is now No1 on the UK all time rankings list for U17 women's 60 metre hurdles. Pippa is a Kingston and Poly athlete who is trained for hurdles by Lloyd Cowan MBE and her lead coach is John Shepherd. She schools at Notre Dame senior school where they have just built a sprints track.
The Olympic channel filmed Pippa recently having been inspired by Jess Ennis. (below is the link fast forward to around 18 minutes and you'll see Pippa with Jess Ennis)
