New Malden skier Harry Deighton, a pupil at Richard Challoner and Holy Cross schools, skied into Bronze in the last day of racing at the English Alpine Championships in Bormio, Italy over half term in the U18 FIS giant slalom with a combined time of 1.55.83 and a PB.
After a frustrating week of skiing out on both slalom races, a 5th place in Super G and coming close to a podium in the Super Combined before crashing out, the podium place was well earned.
Harry trains with Ambition Racing in Leogang, Austria but started skiing on the dry slopes at Sandown Park, Esher.
