Charlotte Hutchinson from Surrey, Technical Consultant at IBM UK Ltd., is a finalist in the national 2017 FDM everywoman in Technology Awards which have just been announced (the UK’s largest awards programme for women in business).

Charlotte is one of three finalists, chosen from hundreds of applications, in the Rising Star Award category sponsored by T-Systems awarded to a woman aged under 26 who is excelling in her technology career.

She has been described by IBM executives as a ‘Rare Diamond’ and has IBM senior female figures lining up to be her mentor. In the words of her manager, “There is without doubt the spark of invention and improvement in her eye”.

Charlotte has been particularly recognised for her work with IBM’s Interactive Design Team to create a platform for Knorr’s new marketing which was an enormous success, superseding all expectations, increasing media impressions by 1057% compared to the previous year and received over 1.4 million hits to the site created by IBM.

Christoph Rode, Managing Director of T-Systems Ltd states: “T-Systems are delighted to support the Rising Star Award and congratulates all the finalists on their achievements. At T-Systems, we are dedicated to looking for new ways to support our female talent and under our Guiding Principle ‘Best Place to Perform and Grow’ we endeavour to create an environment for our people to thrive, grasp opportunities, get recognised and be rewarded for good performance. We are proud to partner with everywoman in sponsoring this Award, who not only supported our vision but also stretched our thoughts and challenged us to look deeper at our goals. Together, we are supporting women in technology and business for today and tomorrow.”

Winners will be announced on 9 February at an awards ceremony at the London Hilton Hotel, Park Lane
