Local crafter Sara Sayers has used her skills to help raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice, Esher, in collaboration with DHL.

The Cobham based craft enthusiast teamed up with 200 DHL employees to make 1200 craft products. The global logistics company then sold the crafts at the Hospice Xmas Fair in Esher on 19th November 2016 and matched the total number of sales, bringing the final amount raised to an impressive £4,000.

Crafting expert Sara is a demonstrator for international craft company Stampin’ Up! UK, which is known for its exclusive line of decorative stamp sets and accessories for paper crafting, scrapbooking and home décor.

The company operates via a network of independent sales consultants, known as demonstrators. Sara comments: “This initiative, in partnership with DHL, was a fantastic opportunity to share my passion for craft and apply it to a really worthwhile cause.

The proceeds will be used to support The Princess Alice Hospice, Esher in providing free, high-quality compassionate care and support for patients, their families and carers.

“Crafting is a very social activity and I’d like to thank everyone at DHL and my local craft group – Queen Pip’s Royal Stampers, who helped to make the cards. It was a team effort and this donation will make a real difference to patients and their wider support network in such difficult times.”
